True Christianity is all about one Man, the Son of God, Jesus Christ. He came into this world over two thousand years ago for one reason alone – to save sinners!
You see every single person has broken God’s Law, meaning every single person is a sinner. So you and I are guilty before a just and holy God, deserving everlasting punishment.
But this is exactly why Jesus Christ came into the world! He lived a perfect life, died a death on the cross He didn’t deserve yet rose again victorious on the third day. Why? Because His life, death and resurrection are our only hope of being saved and going to heaven. Those sinners who put their faith in Jesus, relying completely upon His finished work on the cross become real Christians. These same people can say with great confidence their sins are washed away and they will be with Jesus forever in heaven.
So what is Christianity? Very simply, it is good news that tells us God saves sinners through Jesus Christ. The question left to ask is this – are you saved?

Try praying before you read. Ask God to help you understand. And start with one of the gospels, perhaps Mark or John – these are eyewitness accounts of the life of Jesus Christ.
