On Thursday 12th October 2017, we were privileged to hear Prof. Andy McIntosh lecture about Creation and its Connection to the Reformation.

The end of October 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the birth of the Reformation. It indicates the date when Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Castle Church at Wittenburg, Germany. One of the great features of all the Reformers was an absolute confidence in the truth and the authority of the Bible. If the Bible says it, God says it. And if God says it, we must listen to it, believe it and obey it.

Prof. McIntosh clearly outlines some of the key aspects of the Reformation while linking it clearly to issues around science and creation. He also emphasises that a confidence in the authority of God’s word is exactly what is needed to reach a lost, broken and confused world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
